Economist, Mukhtar A. Amin
Mukhtar Amin is trained and experienced in DRC analysis as well as survey research, marketing, and international and regional trade. Most recently, Mr. Amin led a study for USAID/Liberia that analyzed the financial and economic profitability of rice, cocoa, and oil palm value chains in the central corridor of Liberia. This study was the first to carefully analyze the cost and profitability of the new NERICA rice varieties, both upland and swamp, in West Africa. Mr. Amin holds a M.A.L.D. degree from the Fletcher School, Tufts University, where he focused on development economics and natural resource management.
