Competitiveness and Labor Productivity in Cambodia's Garment Sector
Learning to Compete in a Post-Quota Environment

In conjunction with Nathan Associates Inc., the Economic Institute of Cambodia, and Werner International, AIRD Senior Economist Lynn Salinger served as Team Leader for a factory-level survey of the determinants of labor productivity in Cambodia's garment sector. With support from USAID, over 80 factories were surveyed, and the performance data were benchmarked with comparable data from Egypt, China, Brazil, Mexico, and Turkey; see the full news brief for further information.
